Leech

Leeches are blood suckers; they were used as a remedy for all kinds of ailments throughout the history. I think prior to the HIV scare; they still were being used in some parlors.

Leeches are the subject of my topic today. Why leeches you may ask? Well, because a friend’s ex-husband just called her a leech, because she asked for money to buy their kids Christmas gifts.

I laugh at family feuds like this and suggested the same to my friend. I told her that only small minds dwell on hurtful comments. I told her, someone must be really hurting inside to want to belittle you, or make you feel bad about yourself. I also told her, the real leeches are those who want to suck the joy out of you, because they simply can’t find any in themselves.

I love my friend, she is a good person with a big heart, and anyone tries to hurt a good person, will eventually realize, the circular shape of life.
